And the other good thing about living on my own is this: if I cry, there's no one who will ask me what the matter is. So I don't have to explain who pissed me off and upset me, or go into the nuances of exactly how he's upset me, when the only person I want to talk to about it AT ALL is the person in question.
There are only the dogs, and they come and lay their heads in my lap. They don't ask awkward questions. They just love me. They never disappoint me, they never lie, they never break promises, they never mess me about.
