tenna gave me the idea. I don't generally celebrate V-Day - I didn't when I was married, I didn't care when I was alone, I don't care now that I'm sort of semi-detached. There is a human man in my life and he's pretty damn good, but it's never been one of those hearts and flowers things - which is perfect, that's the last thing I want anyway.

And then there's my main man. The one I live with, the one that mops my tears and makes me smile when I'm sad, the one who wakes me with a big grin every morning. There's never been any sex and he beats me up on a regular basis, but I can say with absolute honesty it's the best relationship I've ever been in. So here's a song dedication for my Spike, my Big Damn Hero. My love.

I've spent half the day thinking of the right song for him, and the one that kept coming up on the mental jukebox was a blast from my past, that I first fell in love with at fourteen. It's perfect for him.
