Arrrgh damn fucking cats!!!

The kitchen windowsill remained cat-free for a few days after Paisley-Callette and Naamah-Shona were discouraged by the water-spill and Cassie was unpleasantly surprised by the sensation of cheap sticky tape on her paws, but cats are the Borg - resistance is futile and the little bastards adapt.

In other words, pieces of sticky tape pulled off the windowsill are apparently now the best cat toy ever.

Cats suck. Any ideas?

There's one damn windowsill in the whole flat I don't want cats on, because I keep the kitchen dustbin up there, they always knock it off and I get tired of sweeping up old coffee grounds and sink-drainer sludge. All the cats are quite good about things like "no" "off" and "out" - Cassie finds it embarrassing to be told NO and lifted down/gently shoved away from where I don't want her, Paisley-Callette has a goody-two-shoes streak, Blade doesn't like attracting attention and Evil Elda has been watching them and drawing conclusions, and none of them are any trouble.

That just leaves Naamah Shona the Demon Pirate Kitten From Hell, then. After lifting her off the kitchen windowsill seventeen times yesterday and nine times tonight, I set a Trap for the Discouragement of Pirates - a row of small plastic bowls of water along the edge of the windowsill in question.

My kitchen floor is all wet now. I wonder how much wetter it's going to get before one of us gives in?
