It took the kittens till yesterday evening to recover their spirits from the jabs...

yes, that is a lot of pics, but I took over seventy, plus a movie that I knew would be too dark on Youtube but which I can watch reasonably well here.
...in other news, after a long heart-to-heart with my original prospect as a forever home for Shona, I, er, um, have two cats now.
this is not about the quality of the prospective home. this is about me being utterly unstrung at the thought of parting with her.
(to forestall any criticism: no, I can't get subsidised veterinary treatment for her, but in the event of things going wrong that doesn't mean she won't get treatment. It just means I'll owe my mother a load of money. Good thing I've paid her back since the last time. I am making plans for spending less on groceries to cover that eventuality. Also, my preventative-care-fu is pretty good. It's still a dumb thing for me to do, but it doesn't quite cross the line into "criminally irresponsible".)
