Got through the kittens' first vaccinations without too much drama. Getting them into the cat carrier was a challenge - I've had enough experience with ferrets to know that you stand the box on its end, otherwise you lose one every time you go to put another one in, but ferrets don't have the innate cat power to grow twelve extra legs at moments of stress. And their claws aren't as sharp. Cassie was not at all happy and kept body-blocking my attempts to put kittens in box, but I won in the end.
Vet was impressed with their general health and approved of their raw diet, her cats and dog are on raw too. It's interesting that although I read a lot in the pet communities about vets being anti-raw diet I've never met a vet IRL that disapproved - in fact it was Spike's vet that originally turned me onto it.
They have another appointment in three weeks for the second shot - for whichever of them is still here in three weeks. Callette probably will be, at least.
