I just found a lump on Spike's right inner thigh while I was giving him a belly rub. It's very small, hardish and moves around under the skin. Vet's appointment on Friday afternoon.

I know, rationally, that it's more likely to be something minor and harmless than not, but please send any good thoughts you can spare. The thought of anything happening to Spike leaves me unstrung.

Baylee seems to be doing well. Lots of exhuberant beagle energy and if the cancer's eating her up inside you'd never know it. Yes, no news is good news!

But on that tangent I hope you'll be posting news of the vet visit come Friday. Dear Spike will be in my thoughts.
