I just found a lump on Spike's right inner thigh while I was giving him a belly rub. It's very small, hardish and moves around under the skin. Vet's appointment on Friday afternoon.

I know, rationally, that it's more likely to be something minor and harmless than not, but please send any good thoughts you can spare. The thought of anything happening to Spike leaves me unstrung.

this is true. he's almost four now and he's never seen a vet for anything except routine maintenance and being stitched up when he hurts himself. I hate to break that record.
