This post made my day.

Yeah, I disagree with his premise, sort of. My take on it is that it's fiction and therefore if I want to say I was there, no harm no foul, and I find fandom things like lilac-wearing satisfying. Anyway, his post brought the funny, which makes him OK by me. (I assume it's a he. If I'm wrong I'll edit, but it has a masculine feel to it.)

And then: It gets better!

Also, one of the quotes in the main fandom_wank post is by yours truly: "Oddly enough I did find "Today, we are all Londoners" a tad annoying. You do, actually, need to be a Londoner to be a Londoner (or a New Yorker). That crossed a line from sympathy to overbearing, IMNSHO."

Of course, that was only half my comment and they've taken me somewhat out of context (me? political? HA!) but what the hell! I'll take my notoriety where I can get it!

It's also, of course, Towel Day. I did attempt to take a towel when I walked the dogs, but Spike decided it was a tug toy so I put it back. Consider me to be carrying a fictional one.

Woo, I took my towel with me to watch X-Men The Last Stand. Everyone was looking at me funny because Towel Day is not known in these parts. So I just looked like a crazy chick with a blue towel around my neck at the movie theater. :-D
