Sister T says she looks like me. I say it's hard to tell, but I don't think she looks too bad for someone so new.

She is kinda cute, isn't she? Though she'll be more fun once she can talk...

she'll be talking, walking, swearing, and spitting before you can even blink. :)

Excellent!

It's a bit like the kittens - yeah, cute and all but they're not really interesting till they can DO stuff. This might be one reason I never wanted my own...

Thats right after the crying, puking, crapping, staying awake and crawling periods. On the bright side, you get to hand her back.

exactly. Auntness, I can handle - all the annoying/messy/smelly moments are going to be Someone Else's Problem.

LOL, that's exactly what I said. And then I went and got pregnant. I guess I got what I deserve. ;)

People used to tell me I'd love one if I had one and - although I didn't think that was a good enough reason to get pregnant deliberately - I never doubted it'd be true. It'll be an adventure!

Yep. I'm still in awe of the fact that I have a baby inside me. Especially since I never wanted kids before I met Mike, the fact that there's an actual little part-me in there is blowing my mind. At first it was "I can't believe there's a baby in there!" Now, I felt it move a little yesterday, so it's "Wow, there really is a baby in there!"

It's very weird and scary, but exciting. And you're right. It'll definitely be an adventure.

So should we all now start calling you Auntie Liz on the boards? :D

From: [identity profile] orac-zen.livejournal.com

It would be interesting to see how long we'd live if any of us tried the "Aunt Liz" thing... :D

Awwww...cute niece. :D

It is pretty hard to tell from one little photo of the wee one, but it does seem pretty clear that you two are not dissimilar! She's an absolute sweetie. What a joy. :)

She's going to be long and lanky, isn't she?

Prettier babies are generally the heavier babies - they seem to be less wrinkled and Winston Churchill like :o)

Congratulations to you all!

I know - and she had to have a Caesarean after 48 hours of labour, poor T. I have a feeling she'll not be keen to do this again.
