Evil Tugger - 1 Evil Tugger - 2
Evil Tugger - 3 Evil Tugger - 4

...this is why I originally got into the habit of leaving the harness on him all day, because he'd try and pull this every time I put it on him. It's only the occasional moment these days.

You may be thinking "why was she standing there snapping pictures instead of making him stop that?" - I'll tell you: because when he's having one of his Little Moments, the quickest way to make him stop is to withdraw all attention. The camera happened to be close to hand so I gave it my attention instead. Worked, too. Went quiet and stood still to be harnessed after four quick flashes...

Ohhhh yes. Except without all the really fun complicated stuff like achool reports and puberty...

Don't remind me. :^( My son is just getting to that 'lovely' stage of life. Somehow I anticipate the next 6 years will finish up the graying of my hair...lol.

This is why I stuck to dogs. After the first eighteen months it's unlikely to get any more difficult and complicated :-D

The first thought that came to my mind was...Oh No! He's ripping apart his new harness.

Maybe you should threaten him by telling him you'll turn him into a doggie skin rug...lol

I tell Julius I'll turn him into a kitty toss pillow all the time...wait a second...he STILL won't listen...I don't think he believes me...:D

Nah - he was just shaking it at me, inviting me to play tug and/or challenging me to try and get it off him.

The times he's damaged the harness have been when he's wearing it and he gets to rolling on his back - he hooks his lower jaw under the chest strap and pulls. It's the resistance that makes him damage it - he's not a big chewer of objects but he does love pulling at things...

Sadly, Crow really likes to do similar things. He loves to grab EVERYTHING and run around with it hoping that people will play chase. He also tends to grab the leash and hold it ('walking himself') when he's over excited.

This is the retriever in him though, because he completely stops it if he's either getting enough exercise (this was on our trip), or told to drop and offered a stick to carry around. He dances when he's got a stick. Crazy retrieving dog. :)

I love Spike and his evil buggerness. :)

Crow and Spike have a very similar outlook on life, don't they? That's why I love Crow.

Spike is a great deal better if he's getting enough exercise, and he really hasn't been for a while now. *kicks self*

That said, he's still pretty evil whatever I do. I love him for it too...

Your evil dog and my evil cat. Halo hates my new hair style and color!!! Sigh.....

Guess I'll have to see if Spike tries to sleep in my luggage if I ever go to England lol

From: [identity profile] bulletslc.livejournal.com

"on" your luggage, dear! The point was to leave white cat hairs all over your black suitcases!LOL!

He tries. Heh heh....but now he has a nemesis in the name of Starbuck. She's decided his tail is the BEST playtoy! Its hilarious to watch her trying to catch his big, fluffy tail and his indignation at such treatment! :-D

"because when he's having one of his Little Moments, the quickest way to make him stop is to withdraw all attention."

That also works with boyfriends. Just FYI. :)

Does your boyfriend grab his underpants in his teeth and dance round the bedroom shaking them at you instead of putting them on?

...do I want to know the answer to that? :-D

This reminds me of when Miss Supreme Ruler sharpen her claws on everything she's not supposed to sharpen them on, when she deliberately pushes things off the table while looking straight at me to watch my reaction or when she walks around the flat and opens every door or cupboard she can, just because. And a few other ones. And then add Ronja doing her attention act. Sometimes I just want to yell at them that they are evil minions in collusion with the devil... or at least with the Klingons.

Right now they're both gone. I have 4 weeks of summer holidays from the attention hoggers... Ah the silence... :D

However much you love them, it's a great joy to have a break sometimes!

Is Miss Kitty with your family?

From: [identity profile] ulva.livejournal.com

Yes, she is and I bet my mum will dote on her enough to make her unhappy to come home again... She is always accusing me of starving her when she comes home after a while with my parents. LOL!
