Oh great. If it were here on network TV, it would be like being displaced by American Idol, a similar program. (rubs temples in frustration) Ai-yi-yi...
Well, Eurovision is only once a year, and instead of being individual young hopefuls, they're each representing a country. So there are always all these political undercurrents, like certain countries never give each other points even if the entry is really good. And there are always a lot of really funny entries, because Europeans are better at humour than Americans. And there's Terry Wogan, who's marvellous fun and a national institution... it is a lot of fun to watch. But not a thing to download and watch alone on the computer, which is how I do most of my watching.
