selenak: Assemble a super team from your favorite films, TV shows, books etc. Your team must consist of the following: Team Leader, Warrior, Smartypants, Hottie, Comic Relief. You may not use more than one character from each source.
She went with an all-female team. I'm going for... well, I'm not too sure how I'd describe them. But it's going to be interesting. I've also slightly bent one of the meme rules. But that's the kind of team we are.
Team Leader: I have about five characters arguing over this position. I'm picking Gul Dukat, (Star Trek: DS9) - pre-lunacy/mysticism storyline Dukat from around the time of Return To Grace, because after that the writers turned him into a moustache-twirling cardboard cut-out. Charismatic, intelligent, stylish, capable of thinking outside the box and will stop at nothing to achieve his objective. I'd follow him, albeit carefully.
Warrior: Kara Thrace (BSG). My Team Leader wanted Kira Nerys, but then he saw Kara and stopped arguing.
Smartypants: Bernice Surprise Summerfield. Beautiful, stunningly clever, highly educated, brave, resourceful, knows how to have a good time and has a wide experience of all things weird.
Hottie: Captain Jack Harkness. Because he's bloody marvellous, because he'll also stop at nothing and no-one. And he's also smart, and could step in easily as team leader if anything went wrong - which with this particular team is pretty much a certainty.
Comic Relief: I probably shouldn't have three characters from the same canon, but a. it's the one I'm currently obsessed with, and b. Iris Wildthyme is only loosely canon at best. More fun than a barrel of Border Collies on crack. Also, Time Lord. Complete with TARDIS. Who could pass up the chance to have that on their team?
My apologies go out to James T. Kirk, Ace McShane, Chiana, Hiro Nakamura, Malcolm Reynolds and Xev Bellringer for not including them this time round. I'll remember them if my first team leave enough of the space-time continuum intact for me to do this meme again...
