Black Doggerel

Just come from having IUD fitted. Much drama when doctor couldn't get it in on the first go. She almost gave up but agreed to try again. I was determined not to go home without one after all that performance... Second try succeeded. Doctor says that was her most technically difficult insertion yet but thanks to much Yoga breathing I was relaxed enough for it to work. Incredibly shocky & wobbly when I stood up though, and feel in need of a lie down. See you all later.

Went to the doctor's this morning, to have my blood drawn and my soft parts prodded with cold stainless steel, to check hormone levels and in preparation for having an IUD fitted next month. I hate having blood drawn, because my abused and scarred circulatory system turns it into a major performance every time - when I had my dental surgery last year, the only place they could get the IV drip and the anaesthetic in was my neck. Today was actually the second attempt at this particular blood test - the doctor couldn't manage it last week. Luckily today's nurse managed all right on the fourth or fifth go, or I'd have had to go to hospital to get it done. Bah.

huntingdon is coming to see me on the 19th. At the moment the plan is to have lunch at the Russell Cotes, play with the dogs for as long as Hunt can still breathe, then shut them in another room, get drunk and spam TBBS until he has to go home. If anyone has any more evil/disruptive/fun suggestions than that, please post them...
