AWESOME. I have just emailed to volunteer for my first driving stint. There are also two other legs on the same trip that I think I may be able to find friends to take. This is such a fantastic program. Thanks for letting me know, Liz!

It is - two sweet dachshunds, which makes me happy, because I have a little "brother" who is a dachshund, and when tragedy hit my family a couple of years ago, he was SO important in keeping my mom going and giving her a reason to get out of bed in the mornings. I was in Russia, and couldn't get to her, but every time we spoke, she mentioned his sweet attendance on her. It's made me rather sentimental and gooey about the the breed.

they are lovely dogs. they're one of the breeds I've always fancied having some day. I won't, because after Spike I'm hopelessly, permanently fixated on Border Collies, but I retain a very soft spot for them.
