Ooooops.

Ran into Spike's buddy Chico and the Shih Tzu Crew on our morning walk. I knew from conversations with the owners that they had cats as well. I did not know that one of their cats occasionally accompanies them on walks. If I'd known that I certainly wouldn't have unleashed Spike.

I hope she can get down from that tree all right.

Nope. I had a hard time not laughing myself, although it's not the sort of thing I want my dog to do with the cat's owner watching!

ha ha ha! that made me laugh because, really, how were you to know - who walks a cat?!

I KNOW!!! It's hardly high on my list of things to automatically chack for when I see Spike's dog buddies!

Well, it is now, but you know what I mean...

He does; chasing cats is a fun game for him and he'd never hurt one - I know because he's cornered quite a few and all he does is nosepoke them a bit and get clawed. He doesn't quite understand that a cat who doesn't know him may not realise it's all in fun, though...

What the cat didn't realize is that if it had picked the wrong tree, Spike would have followed it right up!

He certainly did his best! Even Spike can't get more than seven or eight feet up a smooth trunk without falling off again though...
